Portrait of my dad - Capt. Dennis Klock (1945 - 1979)

I did this illustration completely in Adobe Illustrator (digital vector) - sampling colors and studies from original photograph. I’ve been wanting to do a photo rendered portrait in illustrator and this seemed a perfect chance and portrait to do my first attempt. I think it turned out so well that I think I’ll have to do more illustrations such as this in the future! In the portrait, I put in my own version of the last squadron he was in - that I did a logo version of recently. He also flew many more aircraft Than this but chose these four planes since they were the main jets that he flew.
